Hello, everybody!  Here is another update for November 22, 2013.

This is our third public video of the Joshua Mk5.  In this almost 8-minute video, you get to see what the hybrid is all about.  AK reliability, AR accuracy and ergonomics.  In this raw footage, you can inspect the receiver (the true hybrid of AK action and AR magazine well), the rail system, the barrel, the adapter, and more (all patents pending).  It should be noted that this is an overview.  More to come concerning the barrel and its specs, top rail sighting, interchangeability of calibers, and so on.  But now, we hope you are pleased to meet the Joshua.

Update for November 19, 2013

Everything has been great so far.  We are adjusting trigger mechanism today.

Update for October 28, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for October 28, 2013.  Sorry for the delay in posting!   
 

TESTING Everything is a GO on testing so far.  We have not done much long-range testing, only short-range, in order to keep our secrets secret.  This changes in the next week or so.

PATENTS
Our patent lawyer just informed me we are on track and ought to have Patents Pending status by the end of the month, give or take a few days.  


EXPANSION & HIRING
We hired another machinist.  More on him as we go forward.  He's a bit "gun-shy" about publicity.

Update for September 27, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for September 27, 2013.   
 

TESTING Everything is a GO on testing so far.  The design is finished, with minor tweaks left to accomplish as we go forward with Patents Pending.

PATENTS
Our patent lawyer was here on Wednesday and has begun the process.  As we've indicated in the past, it will take 3-4 weeks to have all the work done, and for receipts for Patents Pending to be received back.  We anticipate from there a grand unwrapping.  


EXPANSION & HIRING
In order to speed up production in the coming months, we've purchased a CNC horizontal mill with about 5x our current production capability.

PHOTOS:  Matsuura PC-11 being delivered earlier this week.

We are also seeking to hire a talented machinist or two, in addition to our current staff.  If you or someone you know is interested, we are taking applications.


DELIVERY UPDATE
As soon as Patents Pending is complete, we will begin delivering the first Joshua MK5's!

Update for September 11, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for September 11, 2013.  Before we begin, we take time out to remember those who died on 9-11-2001 and also 9-11-2012 in Benghazi, Libya. 
 

TESTING 
Our testing went very well.  We are refining now, and will continue to test for safety and consistency.  

About one more week and we will begin the patent process.  We want to be sure the design is 100% before we do.


EXPANSION & HIRING
In order to speed up production in the coming months, we've purchased a CNC horizontal mill without about 5x our current production capability.

We've also received inquiries from talented machinists regarding employment with us.  If you or someone you know is interested, let them know we will be hiring soon.


DELIVERY UPDATE
As soon as we finish testing, we will be producing simultaneously with patent process, so that we can begin delivery when Patents Pending comes through.

Update for August 28, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for August 28, 2013.
 

SUCCESSFUL TESTING

We built a shoot room in our facility.  Photos below.

We tested blanks first.  100% successful.  Sorry, no photos just yet.

We will test live rounds in the next week.

We will patent directly after.

Update for August 13, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for August 13, 2013.
 

STATUS UPDATE

Barrels.  Barrels delivered from Lothar Walther look great!  Local barrels terrific.  We are at present tooling for assembly.

Rails.  Our quad rails are likewise fantastic.

Testing.  We had some setbacks with hardware but we’re back on track.  We will be testing from this week into September.

Update for July 22, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for July 22, 2013. 

STATUS UPDATE

Barrels.  We now have 8 sample barrels in hand from our local source.  They are VERY good.  We think these will be more than satisfactory for our customers who did not purchase the Lothar Walther barrel.

And speaking of Walther, we are informed that 6 sample barrels will be shipped tomorrow!  Furthermore, they have made the assertion that once we are pleased with these samples, they can deliver up to 100 per month.

Testing.  We have begun the first trials, and everything is successful so far.  Naturally, we will not ship anything until we are sure the Joshua Mk5 is safe and consistent.

Update for July 5, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our update for July 5, 2013.  We hope you had a great Independence Day, whether you read the Constitution or just watched fireworks.  God bless our country!

REBATES

The big news is that the first contractual rebates will be mailed today!  

STATUS UPDATE

Quad rails have worked out well.  We are very pleased so far with what we've machined.

Barrels are still not delivered.  Lothar Walther promised samples in April, which have already been paid for, but it's July and we've seen nothing.  Phone calls and emails have produced only polite reassurance.  We are very frustrated here.


Meanwhile, we are pursuing the local angle, and have a maker who is reasonable and good.  Again, just waiting for samples.

From Arizona, Harris has delivered blank barrel for our assessment.  Harris also makes barrels, and we are considering them for the future.  For our education, please let us know your experience with Harris, good or bad. 
 

All in all, we're very close.  The Joshua is ready for testing, just requiring barrels.

The delivery dates are continued to be pushed back as we wait.  We are as unhappy about this as you are.

Update for June 19, 2013

Hello, everybody!  Here is our June monthly update.  In the future, we will try to get updates up every two weeks.

STATUS UPDATE

Quad rail samples have arrived today!  This means we are halfway to being able to test.  Why halfway?   

Barrels are still not delivered.  Lothar Walther promised but missed their delivery date.  We are waiting to hear back on that.  We are also pursuing local barrel-making, and that will take about two weeks, we hear!

The Joshua is ready for testing, just requiring barrels.  Production follows shortly after. 

DELIVERY UPDATE

Update for May 21, 2013

Hello, everybody!  We apologize for the delay in updates lately.

STATUS UPDATE

We are still in the pre-production mode due to barrels and quad rails being on back order. 

We did today receive notice that quad rail samples will be delivered in mid-June.  From there, we further machine, finish, and finally go into production mode. 

Barrels are a bit delayed by Lothar Walther.  We were informed that there was some snafu in the way they placed our order.  We don’t like it, but we have to wait two further weeks for samples to arrive. 

Preliminary test of the Joshua firing mechanism is good.  Centering and ejection is nice and consistent.  With a proper barrel, firing should follow as consistently.

DELIVERY UPDATE

I wish I had better news, but we are obviously delayed in delivery.  This has of course stacked up back orders, about 150-160 fully-paid so far.

Per the contract, we have refunded a few fully-paid who waited the requisite three months before requesting.  Everything was done amicably.
